St Mark’s was built in 1842. There used to be a school on what is now the car park and the Rectory used to be on the north-east side of the church. Both hall and church have been enlarged since they were first built. The patron of St Mark’s is the Bishop of Chichester. The graveyard has been closed for thirty years but the Garden of Remembrance is still in use. The current Rector was collated (instituted) and inducted in 2005 having been in Eastern Europe for nine years. Members of the church staff “The Ark”, our church office and pop-in centre.
